KarVér Hospitality’s senior team members are alumni of some of the country’s most iconic hospitality brands – Patina Restaurant Group, Abigail Hirsch, Hyatt, Rouge Tomate Group, Estiatorio Milos Group, April Bloomfield, Russian Tea Room, Le Bernardin, and the Barclays Center’s “Brooklyn Taste,” among others.
Each of us is a seasoned fine dining professional who is passionate about food, hospitality, and the art of service. We hail from an array of cultural backgrounds and professional disciplines (Culinary, Beverages, Operations, and Marketing), but have come together in Brooklyn because of a visceral, common passion for all things local – as it applies to a Brasserie milieu – and have decided to make our shared dream a reality.

A renegade in the culinary industry, Chef Lisa Brefere was one of the first women to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in 1978, paving the way for a new generation of women leaders in the field.
Hailing from Chernovtsy, Ukraine, Rostislav feels it was preordained that he became a chef. His great grandmother once learned the art of French cooking, and her considerable talent in the kitchen resulted in her being promoted to head chef for a wealthy family at the precocious age of 12.

Harris has been surrounded by “all things hospitality” from an early age. This, in addition to his recent degree in Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science from Binghamton University, make him the ideal candidate to spearhead KarVér Hospitality’s technology department.
